Agnes E. Schimpf

	Agnes E. Schimpf, 88, of DuQuoin, passed away at 1:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2001 at the Fair Acres Nursing Home in DuQuoin.
	Agnes was a homemaker and had worked at Gieger Bakery for many years.  She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in DuQuoin.
	She was born August 4, 1912 at Ava, the daughter of William and Anna (Bettag) Rosenberger.  She married Virgil D. Schimpf on February 9, 1937 at Ava and he passed away August 13, 1991.
	She is survived by one son, Charles D. Schimpf and wife Joyce of DuQuoin; two daughters, Mary Ann Hunleth and husband Frank of St. Louis, Mo. and June A. Gotta and husband Joseph of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Raymond Rosenberger and wife Pat of Ava; two sisters, Florence Alstat of Pinckneyville and Roslyn Pugh of East Peoria; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Herman and Albert Rosenberger.
	 Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 22 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in DuQuoin with Msgr. Harry Jerome officiating.
	 Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.  The Rosary was said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
 	Interment was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at DuQuoin.
	Friends may make memorials to any of the Sacred Heart Church funds.
